About Jim Christine PGA
Jim Christine has had a long and successful career as a PGA Professional. Starting in 1973 at Tulliallan Golf Club in Scotland, he moved south in 1975 to become Head Assistant at Liphook Golf Club before arriving at Worplesdon as Club Professional in 1979.
Jim has been a player, coach and rules official, but it is his reputation as a top-class coach that has defined his career. Over the years, his ability has been recognised by the PGA. For many years, he was the lead tutor in the golf swing and coaching area of the PGA’s education programme for young professionals, and in 2006, he was in the first cohort of professionals to be recognised as PGA Master Professional/PGA Master Coach. As a reflection of his standing in the golfing world, he was elected to the Board of the PGA in 1990 and represented the PGA on the Board of Ryder Cup Ltd from 2000 until 2010. Currently he is Head Coach to the Surrey Men’s Team.
Jim enjoys and has been successful in all areas of coaching, working with players at all levels. The development of young players from beginner to being selected for national/international teams; enhancing the enjoyment of the game for recreational players; improving the performance of Club players who are striving to improve; the fine-tuning of international, amateur players and those who have gone on to play on various professional tours throughout the world. Developing a relationship with a player and helping them to improve their games and their enjoyment of the game is something Jim truly relishes.
